We spent a long weekend on Sami beach. Enjoyed the sunny weather, lovely scenery and very friendly people.
Had a few days without wifi, even electricity, just ocean, sun, rain, sand, water, jellyfish, crabs, mosquitos, hammocks, shamisen, fuyara, pen and paper, thoughts, away from city, with peace in mind and heart.

After another night sleeping at a park we walked a few last steps to Okayama city.
It was hot day and we arrived at the station quite sweaty and tired. But after a short break we did a performance for the people of Okayama and received lovely response. Many people came and listened to the music,

Himeji castle is one of the 12th remaining original castles across Japan. It is called "white heron castle" and it is not only the biggest, but also said to be the most beautiful one.
On the second day of Himeji castle festival, visitors could see a parade with many samurais wearing armor and historical costumes as well as various dance and music performances.

51st Himeji castle Noh theatre performance. Many people gathered at the castle on Friday evening. The performance started at 6pm and lasted for nearly 4 hours.
Special athmosohere of the castle, unique visuals, costumes, movements, storytelling and traditional music of nōhkan flute, ko- tsuzumi, ō-tsuzumi and taiko drums.
Around 8pm when it got dark, large fires were lit creating even more atmospheric stage for the final performance full of special effects, demonic masks and dynamic music.
Noh, one of the oldest theatrical forms in the world. Powerful expressions with highly prescribed movements and storylines conveying abstract emotions where space and time is not real and imagination of the audience is crucial.

We came to the House thinking we will stay just a day or two but we as usual stayed longer.
First MK was waiting for a new Itomaki, shamisen peg, that got broken in Kobe on the way. BIG THANKS to Sasakawa Kojin , MK's shamisen sensei, who sent spare parts for MK in such short time and thus saved the situation.
The rest of the week we spent sorting and editing videos and pictures as well as writting new texts and reports.
We were going to leave on Friday, but the Himeji castle festival started so we stayed for the festivities, cultural program and opportunity for busking and meeting new people.
