Ethnopunk journey (part3) Day 104 HIROSHIMA PEACE MEMORIAL DAY We had a very special day in Hiroshima. It was the peace memorial day. It all started with our first performance at the Hondori street just after lunchtime. The athmosohere was friendly and very positive. Then in the early afternoon, we went to the peace park and met with Mr. Nara https://narayuji.jp/ who happened to be in the city too and with his friends was performing a ceremony for love and peace, right on the riverbank across from the Hiroshima dome. We joined the gathering, and together with new friends: Buddhist monk Souken Danjo @soukendanjo https://www.facebook.com/SAIKOUJI Nepalese shaman and amazing dancer KS - Keshab Sapkota https://www.facebook.com/keshab.sapkota.564 and Yuki Akutsu @akutsuyuki3415 the flute player from Onomichi. We had amazing free flowing session with healing energies. It was clearly a gathering proving that Hiroshima has moved on and it's people are happy, positive and full of life, enjoyment and love. The whole session ended up with rhythms, dance and laughter. We all moved to different part of the park and joined another group that had gathered from all over Japan for this special occasion. Friends, performers, singers, musicians, dancers, pilgrims, walkers, and many others continuing to create more positive vibes, feelings and happiness. We have performed a very short and wild shishimai shamisen session with Airi, a friend from Kanagawa joining us on the medicine drum. Thank you all for such special day. Ethnopunk journey PART 3 Week 11&12 After a few weeks break from walking, due to our visa situation, other issues and challenges, we have returned to Setonankai, came back to Kubi village and Mamena community. We continued walking through islands, met Marichan on Toyoshima Island and learned about houseboat people and their interesting story. Later we continued through Kamagari islands, spent a night and day on the beach. We continued walking and soon we met a lovely local boss who invited us to his restaurant (Restaurant Hana Mizuki) made a kakigori, udon and beef bowl and told us many cool pirate stories about Murakami gang famous in the area. Then a few nights spent at shrines, passed the Kure city where we did perform, made some money, had a warm food and even enough money for a ferry to Hiroshima. On the day 99 since we left Kyoto we arrived in Hiroshima.
